We are back!

Bruce and I made it safely back home after a wonderful relaxing vacation to the keys. We can't wait to go back especially to Islamorada. Even though it rained a lot we enjoyed our time away. Below are pictures for you to enjoy. I have typed comments on some. I will write more when I have unpacked.

Key West -here we come

We are leaving on Tuesday to make the drive to the Key's. The first day we will travel 8 hours to Key Largo the first key. I am hoping to have time in Key Largo to swim with the dolphins! I made a top five things I want to do list when I was 18 and this was at the very top of the list. I should also say it is the last thing that I have to do on my list.
My brother can attest to my love of dolphins as he loved reminding me in our conversation on Sunday. For our trip with Dad, Susan, and Heather to California, it was not disney land that was my fav but Sea World. In fact I loved it so much that I would not leave Sea World. I found the attraction were they let you pet the dolphins and loved it. I was soaking wet! It was so much fun. Such a wonderful memory. I still enjoy going to eat at places on the water and watching the dolphins swimming and playing.
Wednesday we will head down to Key West and enjoy two days there - Can't wait to see the six toed cats and Hemmingway's house.
Then on Friday we will back in Islamorada to stay till Sunday. We will be staying right on the water and hopefully renting a boat.
Don't worry, I will wear a lot of sunscreen and take lots of pictures.

Arch Collapse

I can't believe that my mom didn't mention about the arch collapse - or maybe she did and I was too busy to really have it register?

It always amazes me how quickly things can change, especially when you least expect it. Never take anything for granted and always live in the present. Hard to do but something that I remind myself - no what if's, no should have's, just do and be happy.

Weeds- A sad goodbye

Tonight is the last episode of Weeds for the season. For those of you who don't know Nancy and all her craziness I recommend you check her out. Nancy lost her husband and being that she had no education and no job experience she ended up selling weed. But that is the normal part -since then she has gotten in the strangest and scariest situations only to talk her way out of them.

She loves excitement and danger - totally opposite of me. Her entourage makes me laugh.

Plus it has been one of the best things on this summer. So for me this is the official end of summer. Good thing I have the Office coming back on to make me realize not all TV is bad.

Check out weeds for yourself.

Happy Birthday Bruce!

September 11th was Bruce's birthday. I didn't make it to blogging about how wonderful he is as I had a hectic week. But I do want to tell him I love him. I can't imagine going through this crazy life without him. He is the first person I call when my check engine light comes on (which it did this week) and the first person I call when I rock at a test (Go GMAT).

Thank you for supporting me and loving me!

To celebrate his birthday and my rocking the GMAT, we went to a movie - The Dark Knight -yes i think we were the only 2 people in the world who hadn't seen it yet - and had dinner at Roy's. We love their sushi - the Lakanilau Roll is the best with Kobe beef... They also had a special pineapple upside down cake last night that was really really good. Sorry no pics!

550

That is the number that I got on my GMAT. It is only the unofficial score - they still have to test the written essays portion but I am pretty sure that I nailed that part. 550 out of 800 for a four hour test - 2 essays, 1 1/2 hours of math questions and 1 1/2 hours of verbal/grammer questions. I haven't had to take a test for 8 years. So yes I am proud and since that number is good enough to get me into any of my college choices - I have to now narrow down the colleges.

The choices -
University of Florida - Go Gators! This has the most highly rated MBA program
Florida State University - Seminoles or Noles as they are called here in Florida (Since I went to Utah State wouldn't it be fitting to go to Florida State?)
University of South Florida - I would actually be able to attend physical classes here as it is just down the street from me
University of Tampa- I have nothing to say about them as I need to research the school.

Please leave a comment and let me know your vote!

Charity day - Ft. Desoto Park

Once Friday in August instead of going to work at the office, I had the chance to participate in a Charity day. More then 500 people from Outback home office did at least 4 hours of charity work that day. I chose to go to Ft. Desoto park aka the beach and plant some native Florida plants. We planted sea grapes and sea grass along a 2 mile stretch of road. The park rangers had decided to fill in the road to make it easier on the sea turtles to come up and lay their eggs and not be killed by cars driving on the road. The day turned out to be rainy and windy but at least it wasn't overly hot and I got to learn a lot about the beach and wildlife in Florida - thanks to the park ranger who answered all of our questions.I am in a navy blue tank top on the left hand side of this picture. Its kind of like playing where's waldo. Below is a much better picture of me. The guy in the middle of the picture is holding a sea grape plant. Hopefully I will be able to do charity events like this in the future. It really was a great chance to be outside and not stuck in an office.
